Maureen Lennon-Schafer on Presence of Mind Therapy

With Lisa Allen. Recorded by TAPinto Mountainside.

Recorded live with TAPinto Mountainside, Maureen talks about starting Presence of Mind Therapy as a solo practitioner when her twins were three months old, and growing it into a group practice now based in Mountainside, with offices in Summit and Metuchen.

She explains how the practice works: grounded in clinical psychology (cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic and family systems work) and joined more recently by somatic, mind-body practice, breathwork, guided meditation and community events like sound baths and chakra dance. And she describes the first call, where the aim is simply to listen and match each person with the right clinician.

“We don't have to do any of this alone.”
