Retreats in New Jersey
Curated Retreats
Whole retreats we have put together, on set dates. Nothing to build. Choose the one that sounds like the week you need and pick a date.
A retreat space through every season, to find your center. Come when the lake is still and compose a stay around the quiet you need.
Compose your ownSmall-group retreats in New Jersey
Halcyon Hilltop is a private retreat house on Lake Hopatcong, the largest freshwater lake in New Jersey, in Mount Arlington, Morris County. Every retreat here is for one group at a time, of up to 15 guests, gathered in a retreat space above the water. It is about an hour from Manhattan by car, and NJ Transit trains stop at Mount Arlington station, a few miles away.
Two ways to retreat here
Curated retreats are the ones above: whole programs our practitioners have already composed, on fixed dates, with nothing for you to plan. Choose one, pick a date and we take it from there.
A private retreat is one you compose. Pick a day or a few nights, add the experiences you want, such as breathwork, a sound bath, yoga, meditation, somatic movement or a private chef, and we connect each one with the practitioner who leads it. It suits a birthday, a bridal or women's weekend, a couples reset, a family gathering or a team offsite. Compose your own retreat.
Day retreats and weekend retreats
A day retreat is a complete visit: arrive in the morning, spend the day in the retreat space by the lake, and head home in the evening. A weekend retreat adds the nights, and the quiet mornings that come with them. Current rates for both are on the booking page.
Who leads the retreats
Every session is led by an independent practitioner who does that work professionally: breathwork facilitators, sound healers, yoga teachers, bodyworkers and licensed clinicians. No experience is needed, and sessions are shaped to the people in the room. Meet them on the practitioners page.
